On 18th/19th July we went to the Wenselydale railway to join in the 1940s weekend.  We had a great time Jumping on and off a steam train and playing for rather large, appreciative crowds at a number of places including the town of Leyburn where it appeared that most of the locals had joined in with the spirit of the 40s.

I would like to say thank you to Shirley and Gorden who joined us from the Sheffield band, and a thank you to Ruth for the organisation of the train time table to get us to the right place at the right time.

 

We even saw Winston, who visited despite his busy schedule.
