  1. A bright but windy day, Fantastic sound from the Pipes as we led a small but select parade onto the football pitch for a short ceremony of remembrance. Piper Dave Abbott played the lament and very well to.

Thank you to the British Legion for asking us to be part of this day.

  2. Sorry about the quality of the photos but I had to put then on the website. The light on the stage caused some over exposure.

It was a fantastic start to something new for us. We marched on to Greenhills, played intercontinental with the Royal Engineers Military Band and were joined by the Radcliffe on Trent MVC and The Cranwell Military wives Choir for a fantastic rendition of Highland Cathedral to finish the evening.

We have received some really good feedback from many people none of whom I would embarace by quoting. Just cannot wait till our next concert.

Thank you to all who organised the concert, all who took part and all who came to support us at this sell out event

  3. I have no idea where to start to say Massive thank you’s to everyone. The 49th Annual dinner 2015 of the Seaforth Highlanders (Notts Branch) went so well. It would be unfair to name individuals, for one it would probably fill a page. The band played probably the best we have played.

I am so proud the be the Pipe Major of this Band, yes there was a lot of planning but it was worth it, everyone who played, everyone who had a speaking part, everyone who helped were exceptional, thank you.

Then of course the family and friends who attended to support us thank you and the Oakham suite who really did us proud. Fantastic staff.

You might have noticed I am very happy about this dinner and it was special for so many reasons. How do we beat this for next year?

  4. Its begining to look a lot like Christmas. Fantastic turn out by the people of Woodhouse to support a local Christmas Market, an event we are proud to be part of, as we watch it grow year on year. long may that continue. We played well and finished our second spot with a couple of carols. Thank you to Lily for the photos.

  5.

    We remembered

It was great to see so many young people taking part in this parade. It gets bigger every year and long may that continue. Without doubt the warmest one I can remember.

Thank you to all the Band today for attending and supporting this great occasion. With special thanks to Dalton our new and very capable Drum Major, and Jake the Bass drummer for a steady and very loud beat.

  6. Deeds of some inspire deeds of others. We joined the people of Farnsfield to lead thier Parade from the Plough Public House to the St. Michaels and All Angels Church to a commemerion service for World War One. We were made very welcome by the people of Farnsfield and we really enjoyed playing for you. Thank you to the landlord of the Plough for allowing us to take over your car park and having Mansfield mild !

Thank you to Richard, Ian, Alex for shortening your holidays to parade with us and to Sam for travelling up from London. All made a good day great.

  7.  Today at Glapwell Carnival accompanied by Matthew Wolfenden who plays David Metcalfe on Emmerdale

Hot and humid at the Glapwell carnival. Sunshine all the way. It was quite a long parade in the weather but the Band were up to it. Thanks to Phil in the beer pavilion, no not just for the beer but the tap full of water we needed when we got to the field. The event was well supported by stall holders and people attending. lots to do. We played a sillection of traditional and slightly more modern tunes.

Thank you to the band members for attending and helping put on such a good show

  8.         101

The rain stayed off. We had 11 pipers and 4 drummers, we gave a good account of ourselves, well organised event and the crowds attended. All in all a good day out. Thank you to Lily for the photos on facebook.

Another great day for Jake on the bass, now know officially as "Tiger".

Well done to Courtney who for the first time nearly managed walking in time and playing, great work mate.

And finally thank you to all from the Band who made it such a great day
