  1. This is us at the Verney Institute on a practice night on 1st October 2009.  We just wanted to get together for a quick photo at the end of the evening to celebrate a good practice session, a reasonable turn-out, and to let you see what we look like.

  2. On the 18th October 2009 We lead the Trafalgar day church parade for the Sea Cadets at Chesterfield. The parade started from the Wallis Barracks, Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield and we marched to the St Mary’s church i.e. the spire church. A short service followed by the return journey. This was to assist the sea and marine cadets to commemorate Trafalgar day, it was well attended and appreciated by all who took part

On 26th September 2009 we played at the annual dinner of 3WFR association at Stepping Stones, Heanor. We were given a warm reception by the members, they then invited us to join them for the meal. Everyone enjoyed the music and the company.

  4. BandOn 18th/19th July we went to the Wenselydale railway to join in the 1940s weekend.  We had a great time Jumping on and off a steam train and playing for rather large, appreciative crowds at a number of places including the town of Leyburn where it appeared that most of the locals had joined in with the spirit of the 40s.

I would like to say thank you to Shirley and Gorden who joined us from the Sheffield band, and a thank you to Ruth for the organisation of the train time table to get us to the right place at the right time.

We even saw Winston, who visited despite his busy schedule.
